Zamzam water

From the well at Makkah to a well someone can walk to.

Zamzam is the water pilgrims know from Makkah. Zamzam4Life asks people to drink it with a purpose: fund sustainable water, then see the project that was built.

The public site puts it plainly. We inspire giving, and we empower you to drink Zamzam water for sustainable water solutions. Trusted partners on the ground build and implement the wells. Then every funded project is proved with a location, photos, and the number of people who gained clean water.

That last part is the point of the tracker. A gift should not disappear into a general appeal. It should come back as a place you can name, and as people whose walk for water got shorter.

The same pages name a hard set of facts about dirty water: the economic return, the disease burden, the hours spent collecting it, and the children lost to it.

  • For every $1 spent on water and sanitation there is a $4 economic return
  • More than 80% of diseases in developing countries are related to dirty water
  • Women and children spend 140 million hours a day collecting water
  • Every minute a child dies of a water-related disease
